Customer preferences of ownership of physical products, from consumer to industrial, are shifting from bulk purchasing and ownership to single SKU purchase and subscription, pay-per-use or pay-per-outcome.  With such “Everything-As-A-Service” (XaaS) purchasing models, OEMs have to shift from single transaction revenue models to recurring revenue models, where they become profitable over a period of time.  For Original Equipment Manufacturers, this shift to XaaS business models directly impacts their product, customer, and revenue operations.
